Te Pāti Māori

The ad says the Waitangi Tribunal found the Government breached Te Tiriti through its Treaty-clause review and called for the review to stop. It contrasts this with claims that the Government is ignoring the Tribunal's findings and wants the Tribunal itself reviewed, then promotes Te Pāti Māori policies to make Tribunal recommendations binding, create a Parliamentary Commissioner for Te Tiriti and require Te Tiriti impact statements for every Bill. The Tribunal finding and Te Pāti Māori policy commitments are real, but the ad blurs the distinction between actions of the Government as a whole and statements made by New Zealand First.
